Update of 2012 (so far)

My three boys!! I don't know what I would do without them! They are my life! Dallin is almost 5 years old. He is so excited! Landon is 2 and wants to be so big like Dallin. He copies just about everything he can from Dallin. They are so amazing! I can't believe how fast they are growing up. I am loving everyday I have with these two!

Steven is busy as always! But has been so fun with the start up of the cafe and catering. Life has been such a blessing for us! It is crazy to think that this August we will be married for 6 years! It's been a crazy year so far and just plugging away everyday. But thought I would update this real quick seemingly how it's been so long since I have put anything on here. But if you are ever on facebook come say hi!

Asian Vacation

Sorry forgot the flash. But the background is nice!

I apparently put this on the wrong blog. So for those of you who weren't able to see this before. It's on here now. SORRY!

Steven and I went to Asia for 2 weeks! It was a complete blast! I don't think him and I have ever spent that much time together before. We went to Taiwan for a day and a half (Supposed to be 3 days, but stupid airlines made us miss our connecting flight) But we got to be with Sterling and MingChu. For the little bit we were there it was amazing! We crammed so much stuff in! I'm just glad I had the camera to remember it all. Scooters to say the least dominate the streets and driving...I'm just glad Sterling was driving and not one of us. You won't believe it either, but the picture is taken right in the middle of the city. I can't wait to go back! I definitely want the kids to come and experience this for themselves. I'm not going to go into detail cause if I do. Then this post is going to turn out into an novel!

So after Taiwan we flew to Shanghai China where we stayed for one night and then got on our cruise ship. Shanghai is definitely very "modern" and has a lot of crazy new things going on. All the buildings were lit up and even the highway was lit up with bright neon blue lights. It was something I have never seen before.Legend of the Seas. It was a smaller one of their ships, but still was way fun! It was a 9 day cruise with 4 ports. Our first port was Vladivostok, Russia. We only got a 3 hour walking tour, but it was fun to see some old buildings and what some of the local people do.After that we went to Bousan, South Korea. There we at least got a 7 1/2 hour tour there and were still only able to get a glimpse of it all. It was very beautiful there. From there we were able to go to Fukuoka Japan. At this port we got to stay for 1 1/2 days. Which was really nice! We got to see everything we wanted, plus some. For half of the first day I seriously felt like a fish out of water. I actually looked like everyone else for a change, but didn't speak the language and definitely not the same culture. It was a little hard for me cause it was something I have never felt before. In Utah I feel Asian, but in Japan...I definitely felt like a tourist. And it was really funny when people would look at me when they spoke and Steven would be the one talking. It was way cool though to finally have authentic Japanese food. Steven got us to some really great places! His Japanese came back pretty quickly too. It was fun to hear him speak again. The last stop was JeJu Island. Here too we only got a 3 hr tour. This place I really would have loved to spend more time there. It was gorgeous and lots to see. It was very beautiful. Very different from the rest of the places too. It was more country than city. Which gave it a different feel from all the rest.

The cruise originally had us going to Sapporo. (Where Steven served his mission), but at the last minute they decided to not go there. It was huge let down!! That was the main reason we booked the cruise. But now I know if we decide to go to Sapporo we will just go straight there and not do a cruise. So that went back onto our bucket list. :) But hopefully soon we will be able to go. I would love to see Sapporo!

That is just a quick summary of our trip. I have over 1000 photos and wouldn't know where to start if I put them on here. It was way fun and definitely something I would love to do again.

Summer Months Catch Up

Wow where to begin! All I have to say...It's been a crazy summer! Also just so that you all know.  I am going to delete Dallin and Landon's blogs...Way too much to keep up on. I might keep my red swallow blog, but not sure if it's worth it or not. And most people just come on here and check anyways. Well...Where to begin!

August has been absolutely NUTS!! Steven was pretty much gone 24/7 and things have finally started to slow down...for now. August was full of fun events too!! Including our 5 year anniversary, my 26th birthday, Kemuel's 30th birthday, my nephew Jaren's 10th birthday, Buffy's birthday on the 25th, and My Parents' 38th anniversary! It was a crazy month in all sorts of ways. I really haven't had time to write on here. Steven has also started to relocate his kitchen. Which in itself has been quite the task on top of non stop events, and all the fun-ness of business.

June and July has pretty much too been a crazy whirlwind when all the relocating stuff started and the kids with more birthdays and phew so much stuff!!

So I guess just to catch up on everything now. Steven has been called as the 2nd Counselor in the Sunday School Presidency and I have been called to be the Ward Choir Director. Wow is that a task! It's been fun though to finally have a calling again and feel needed.

At the beginning of this week we went to Phoenix to pick up a walk-in cooler for Steven's new place and did a little one day vacation down there. We did the...Summit hike. Dallin is such a trooper. It was a 1.2 mile hike with straight up switchbacks and he did the whole thing. We also met some really nice people who helped us down. Since it was dark and we had no flashlights they stayed with us and made sure we made it. Haha Steven had Dallin on his shoulder like a tuba and I carried Landon like a dead animal across my shoulders. Needless to say...I was quite in pain the next day. BUT!! Definitely created a family memory.

Then here on Monday we will be leaving to visit Sterling and MingChu in Taiwan! We are so excited to see them and spend some time with them. It will be a very deserved break! Then we get to go on a 9 day cruise to Asia. I'm pretty excited and nervous all at the same time. I have never been out of the country before and I'm going to Taiwan, China, Japan, Russia and South Korea....man!! I can't wait though. This will be our Honeymoon we never got...lol Word of ADVICE!!! NEVER GO CAMPING ON YOUR HONEYMOON!! :) Anyways...this should be a fun endeavor. I'm still so scared to leave my kids for this long. I have never left Landon before for more than a weekend. So I'm all sorts of mixed emotions. I have never really spent this much time with Steven before either. So lots of fun heading my way! Scary thing too...it's not far away!! I felt like this was really never going to happen and I'm leaving this MONDAY!! Wow!! Time certainly flies by fast when there's so much going on.

Well I guess I know what I am writing about when I get back! Also the kids are doing awesome! Landon is starting to spout sentences and I can actually understand him. Also when I ask him a question he will either say no or nod to say yes. So it's been fun watching him grow and see how much more he is getting. Also Dallin is my big boy and keeps asking me to go to school. But I am going to hold off and just wait for Kindergarten next year. I want my baby for one more year. I know once they start that time flies even faster. He's getting really good with his pronunciation and he's even starting to sing. :) It's way cute to hear him try and copy songs. He's not so little anymore..Waaaahhaaaa!! He's is an awesome big brother. Granted they are starting to fight more, but the times they have fun together is priceless!!

Time is flying by way too fast!!

Wow!! It's been almost two months since I have posted on here. It's been quite the crazy time of moving, sickness, family, kids and just plain life!!

So yeah! Things are going amazingly great! We are pretty much settled into our house and loving it! It's great to be as loud as we want and know that it's ok! Still haven't put up any of our pictures yet, but still trying to figure out our design. I also pray that we are over our sickness period. We missed the first month of church cause at least one of us was sick. The ward is amazing though and we are really enjoying everyone we meet. We have a huge ward! With a ton of kids which makes it a blast. We have 4 soon to be 5 nurseries! So lots of kids and great people to connect too.

Steven is juggling between getting our sprinkler system in and work. And may I add he is doing an amazing job at it! Business wise things too are going great! It's that bittersweet thing where I know we need the business, but I never get to Steven season again.

Some fun things to add to our list of updates. About a month ago I bought us a bunny. :) She is so sweet and adorable! She's a Netherland Dwarf so she is only about 2 lbs, mostly white with black ears and a few black spots. The boys love her to death!! And she lets them. :) It's been a lot of fun having the kids be able to hold her and have some fun with her when we are outside. I initially named her "Akiko", but Steven didn't like it. Then I thought of Bella and a few others, but nothing seems to fit yet. I told Steven though if he calls her "Beautrice" one more time I was going to buy another bunny...haha needless to say he hasn't called her that since. I sometime want to get a dog too, but...I know that one will take a little more convincing on Steven's part. But...hopefully someday one day. I'll keep working on him. :-D (Those of you who knew me growing up....yes I LOVE ANIMALS!!!)

So yeah... I think that's everything. Dallin is now 4. He turned 4 on the 16th of April...and starting preschool this year. Landon is now 18 months and is officially in nursery!! Yay!! lol well for right now I'm in there too. :) But I know he'll get used to it. He has a lot of fun in there. So maybe a couple more weeks with me in there and he'll start to get used to it.

Alright, well it's late, but I wanted to get something written down in here and update all those who actually read these.

Also just on a fun note!! I have to thank Kim and Michleene for Girls Night Out and giving me a chance to have a break and enjoy some girl time!! I can't wait for all the fun things we talked about at dinner!!

Sick and Bored...

I can't tell you how much fun this was with the kids!! Haha I guess when you're bored, have no car and just want some plain fun entertainment! This is the way to go!! The best part of it all was Dallin kept looking at me, then back at the computer screen. He couldn't figure it out!! It was awesome. Landon had a ton of fun too. It was awesome!! We definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Well besides that for a little bit. Can I just tell you how boring and miserable it is being sick, with two boys sick, severe wind so we can't go outside, husband who is gone 24/7 (only home to sleep pretty much) and NO CAR!! It has been almost torturous in these conditions :) I have no energy to clean, no energy to do anything for that matter. I sit on my fat butt and surf facebook and watch movies all day long. Our house is already going to pot cause I can't clean, but I feel frustrated because we've only been in the house for almost two weeks and it seems like a tornado has already run through it.

I must look on the bright side of things. We have a place to be sick and not disturb anyone else, a big enough space that the kids still have room to run around and play, and most importantly...microwaveable food!!!

Our House

It looks awesome with all the trim done on it
Hey, so I just wanted to update on our house and how's it coming. We're pretty excited! It' supposed to be done by the end of February. And hopefully in before March. But here is the exterior. It's almost done. Here are a few shots of the tile work that Steven did. He did the kitchen, pantry, laundry room, both bathrooms and entry way. He did an amazing job and I am so excited that we were able to do this.

This is the travertine that we used in the kitchen, laundry room and panty. Called a Minoan Bronze

This is our mater bathroom. We used a California Gold Slate, Glass squares and small strips as accents

This is our tub surround and you can see the glass and mini tiles

Here is our entry way. He interlaced it with wood. And we used a chocolate travertine

Here's the kitchen and the pantry and laundry room are behind that door.
Here's a view out of our living room window
There are a lot more awesome views, but I didn't want to make this too long. :) I have a whole album on facebook.
